Professional Affiliations in HSEM
Washington’s ten (10) Centers of Excellence provide a statewide coordination within their profession and industry sector for the 34 community and technical colleges across the state that serves over 500,000 students. Roughly 45% of these students enter the work force each year. The HSEM Center’s partners include K-12 along with educators in every public university and many private colleges.
To ensure it has the best practices and educational research available the Center maintains a strong relationship with a large collection of professional affiliations. The HSEM Center of Excellence is working with the US Department of Labor’s Women’s Bureau in Seattle which has launched a web page called Women Build, Protect, and Move America. They support women in law enforcement and those who are interested in pursuing the law enforcement & public safety careers.
