Mass Victimization: Promising Avenues for Prevention
On December 4, 2015, the FBI released Mass Victimization: Promising Avenues for Prevention, a new publication that is the result of a multi-agency collaborative conference that took place in August 2013.
Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies are traditionally reactive in their response to mass victimization incidents and have become highly efficient and effective in theses efforts. However, the goal of the conference, and this document, was to identify promising practices to become more proactive and prevent, but not predict, incidents of mass victimization.
