Skill Standards answer two critical questions:
- What do workers need to know and be able to do in order to be successful in today’s workplace?
- How do we know when workers are performing well?
The Homeland Security Skill Panel will look strategically at the critical need for trained professionals in both the public and private sectors.
Partners include Pierce College, which will build on its Homeland Security Center of Excellence to partner with the State’s Emergency Management Division.
An industry Skill Panel harnesses the expertise of leaders in business, labor, education, and economic development to identify workforce development strategies in a key industry.
The panel fosters innovation and enables industry leaders and public partners to be proactive – addressing changing needs for businesses quickly and competently. The panel produces tools, products, and recommendations to enhance the competitiveness of an industry’s workforce.
