Multilingual Emergency Communication Workshop in Tacoma

MULTILINGUAL EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION WORKSHOP

Learn about how Pierce County Emergency Management will get life safety messages to people with limited to non-English speaking ability and how it applies to Senate Bill 5046, “providing public notices of public health, safety and welfare in languages other than English.” Participants will form trusted sources for multi-language message dissemination and create culturally appropriate material for promoting Emergency Preparedness. Target audience: native speakers and agencies or organizations who serve speakers of these languages: Spanish, Korean, Russian, Vienamese, Cambodian (Khmer), Samoan, Tagalog, Ukrainian, German, Chinese, and American Sign Language.
