Confluence Media: The Exchange and Flow of Information and Ideas
Confluence serves as an intersection where we share events, interests, and important information about our Center and the state’s
all-hazard emergency management pathway programs.
Our new news magazine “Confluence” serves as an intersection where we come together to share Center events and activities each month and important information about our all hazard emergency management career pathways. Our video and pod casts will bring together our pathway programs, their faculty, students and employers, and our communities across the state to discuss a variety of issues, interests, trends and discussions about our career pathways.
The King County TV’s “Disaster Zone” interview Careers in Emergency Management provided information on the establishment of the original Associates and Certificate HSEM degrees, curriculum framework, faculty and internships and work experience opportunities. Confluence staff will continue a segment which will be taped in the coming months and will bring graduates from the statewide HSEM Program to share how their work experience opportunities and internships were important for employment and tips they would provide to someone who has an Emergency Management Degree and is looking for employment.
Center Advisory Board Members, Senior Fellows and staff will participate in “Youtube” interviews. Confluence will bring together our six Career Pathway employers, students, faculty, employers and community members to discuss a variety of issues and interests. Confluence will serve as an intersection where we can come together to share events, interests and important information about our career pathways so “stay tuned”.
